The final exam is Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. It will be held in the same room as the lectures, Brodie 1-52. Bring a pencil suitable for filling out an OMR card. The format is multiple choice and true-or-false questions.

The course marks will be assigned as follows. The standard calculation is as per the course outline.

The final mark will be computed two ways using both the standard formula and the alternate formula. The final grade will be determined by the higher of these two calculations.

The sign up sheet for lab tests is available in Brodie 1-81. The test is in four independent parts and each part can be attempted twice. You need at least 1.5 hours (and possibly 2 hours) to go through all four parts of the test. The idea is to take the lab test and, if you feel that you could have done better, take it again. 

You must be physically present in the computer lab in Brodie G-20-C to take the test. You cannot be awarded a mark unless you have signed in with the instructor or lab demonstrator. Testing times have been set up according to the schedule below. Please come to Brodie 1-81 to sign up or email the instructor with your preferred schedule.

Please note that in order to take this test, you must acquired have a Brandon University username and password; you must also have purchased a text book used the PIN to acquire a username and password for the Prentice Hall online training site, www.phgenit.com. Please ensure you have completed these requirements before showing up for the test. If you need help, consult the instructor in Brodie 1-79 or John Chen in Brodie 1-81.

If you're having trouble with Assignment 3, consult with the instructor or John Chen in 1-81 Brodie. Have the assignment in by Friday Feb 27 at noon.
The midterm test is on February 24. The test will be conducted in class, commencing at 8:45 P.M. It covers Chapter 0 through 9 in the text. To prepare, read the text and do the review questions on the CD. There will also be some spreadsheet questions. The format is multiple choice. Bring a sharpened #2 pencil. Feb 10
